Camp Service Projects

Performing service projects is a main ingredient of the Girl Scout program. As stated in our Promise and Law.  When we promise to "help people at all times" and to “make the world a better place”, we are making a commitment and realizing that there is much that is needed within our communities. Helping girls and adults be aware of what is needed in our community is just one way to build responsible citizens.

Listed below are just a few ideas of service projects that can be performed at CCA.

ï     Maintain flower beds around troop houses, director’s cabin and at the totem poles.

ï     Maintain flower boxes at the Ti-Pi-Sa Dinning Hall

ï     Adopt a canoe and transform the canoe into a planter and maintain as a flower bed.

ï     Build or donate new wooden benches to be used at Pow-Wow Circle and other areas in camp.

ï     Adopt a portion of Salado Creek to keep clean of trash.

If you or your Girl Scout Troop has a service project that will make our camp a better place, please contact Carol Caldwell at 870-932-2833 xt. 110 or by email ccaldwell@crgs.org.
