The purpose of Girl Scouting is to inspire girls with the highest ideals and motivate them to reach out to their community on a local and global level. The Girl Scout Program is girl-driven, reflecting the ever-changing needs and interests of today's girls. Our mission statement clearly states: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Girls dream every imaginable dream. Girl Scouting gives them the confidence, knowledge and skills to help make their dreams a reality. Girl Scouting is... a movement that gives girls from all segments of American life a chance to achieve goals, to make friends and to become a vital part of their community.
Girl Scouting gives girls the chance to :

Cost is $12.00 annually (financial assistance available). Uniforms not required. Membership limited only by the number of adults volunteers. Activities are guided by trained volunteers.

 
Girls are able to participate in Girl Scouting through a variety of ways, including joining a troop or group, attending a neighborhood activity center, summer camp or participating as an individual known as Girl Scout Juliettes.


Girl Scouts is available to girls from all age levels:

Girl Scout Daisies (Grades K-1)
Girl Scout Brownies (Grades 2-3)
Girl Scout Juniors (Grades 4-5)
Girl Scout Cadettes (Grades 6-8)
Girl Scout Seniors (Grades 9-10)
Girl Scout Ambassadors (Grades 11-12)
Girl Scout Juliettes (Grades 1-12; non-troop affiliated) 
Adults 18 years of age or older can join Girl Scouts to become a troop leader, plan events, offer services at the council level, reconnect as an alumnae, or train other Girl Scout Volunteers.
