Donations can be dropped off at the Girl Scout Service Center. 

Items requested for stockings:

• Individual packets of cocoa, coffee, cider mix, hot soup mix, oatmeal
• Candy (hard candies, chocolate kisses, candy canes)
• Individually wrapped rice krispies treats, packaged cookies, granola bars
• Dried fruit snacks, fruit roll-ups
• Beef Jerky (individual packets)
• Gum
• Nuts (individual packets)
• Lip Balm
• Hand lotion (travel size)
• Music CD or DVD movie
• Small puzzle books
• Hand held games
• Playing Cards
• AA batteries
• 2007 calendars (small size)
• Yo-Yo's, slinky, small toys
• Christmas card signed and addressed to "Soldier" or "Hero"

Make a Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors.  Everyone can participate.  Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make A Difference Day is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October. 

In 2005, 3 million people cared enough about their communities to volunteer on that day, accomplishing thousands of projects in hundreds of towns.

·        Great Arkansas Clean-Up ~~ Volunteers are needed at the annual Great Arkansas Clean-Up, which will be held at the Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center on Saturday, October 28^th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The first 150 participants to register will receive free t-shirts, and door prizes will be given throughout the day.  Interested individuals or troops should contact the Nature Center, 870-933-6787, for more information.
